Aswin Ram is a musician working in Mollywood. He lives in Kochi, Kerala, India. His parents are government employees. He and his brother are addicted to Violin. He sings predominantly in Malayalam and Hindi but has also performed in various languages. He was born on 5 June.
He studied at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Chitali Palakkad and went to the University of Calicut. Also, he is a degree holder in Computer science. MJ is an ideal person in his journey. He composed many songs, including Kanmaniya Kannazhake (2016), Ri.e., Feel the page (2020) also, made a musical tribute to Kerala Blasters, i.e., Kolakaombanmar (2018). In the movie, he sang a song, “Orayiram Kinakkaalal” Ashwin mashed up combining 15 songs. An avid YouTube follower, Ashwin has earlier uploaded 10 of his works, the two of original creations, covers, and mashup other with his compositions and vocals; none of these have been such a huge hit.
The mashup was his turning point. Interestingly, the making video has all been the idea of his childhood friends Arjunan who directed it, Sujith who was his associate and Danish Mackenzie has handled the camera and did the editing. Ashwin shot just vocals and mashup. Over the years, he learned a little bit of guitar, violin, and Chenda. His next song, “To the Road,” was recently released on his YouTube channel.
