Shruti Ramachandran is an actress and architect. She hails from Cochin, Kerala. She was born on 23rd March. She did her schooling (1995-2007) from “The Choice School”, Kochi, Kerala. She took her Bachelors of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree (2007-2012) from University School of Design, Mysore, Karnataka. She did Masters (2014-2015) in Advanced Architecture from Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia, Barcelona, Spain. She is proficient in different languages such as Hindi, English, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada. She supports and has volunteered for the causes like education, environment and Arts and Culture.
She has worked as a trainee at
and Associates for five months and Larsen and Turbo EDRC for five months in Chennai. She took up a job in Bombay as an architect on September 2012 at Hemal Surti and Architects and there she worked for two years. On December 2015 she took the job up as Assistant Professor at Asian School of Architecture and Design Innovation (Kochi, Kerala) and is working there since then. She started her acting career with Malayalam movie ‘Njaan; (an adaptation of T.P. Rajeevan’s book “K T N Kottor Ezhuthum Jeevithavum”) which a drama film directed by ‘
’, who also did the movie’s screenplay.
The movie got released on September 19, 2014, and gave Shruti a break in Malayalam cinema. She played the character named Susheela, who is the teenage love interest of
. After playing Susheela, in Njaan, she will be making a comeback in Malayalam cinema with the movie ‘
’ opposite superstar ‘
’. She will be seen on screen after a period of two years. She got the role after getting a call from Jayasurya, who asked her to meet director Ranjith Sankar (movie Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam).
