Alleppey Vincent is an Indian film actor in Malayalam cinema born in Ambalappuzha, Alappuzha district, in the small state of Kerala. He was a part of the first-ever Malayalam talkie made in Malayalam Balan in 1938 in which he played the character of Shanku. Moreover, Mr. Vincent was the first person to record his voice in Malayalam cinema, and his words were the first-ever recorded words. Then, in the second Malayalam cinema, he acted. His other popular films include ‘Oral Koody Kallanayi,’‘Kamini, Periyar,’ and ‘Aarorumariyaathe.’ Mr. Vincent, along with TV Thomas, later, opened a film production company and Named it Udaya pictures.
The first film of their production house was Vellinakshtram, and Vincent himself also acted in it. In all, he had a successful career, and Dr. Sebastian Pall, who is a former member of Parliament, has also written a biography on him titled ‘Alleppey Vincent: Malayala Cinemayude Snapakan.’
