Mohan Ayroor is an Indian TV actor who was born on 13th September 1959. He is one of the eminent personalities of the Mollywood film industry. He was born in
and brought up in Kuriyannoor and Ayroor, Pathanamthitta District, Kerala. His father ‘K.P. John’ was in the Indian army while her mother ‘Saramma John’ was a teacher in M.T.H.S. Mathappara, Ayroor. He completed his schooling from M.D.L.P. School and his high school from M.T.H.S. Mathappara, Ayroor. Mohan is married to Usha since 1986 and has three daughters 'Punjiri,' '
,' and 'Paurnnami.'
His journey of acting initiated at the age of seven when he performed in the school drama. Later on, he wrote and directed drama for which he got the Best Director’s prize in his school. During his college days, he performed in many plays and won the best comedian award from St. Thomas College. In 1977, he was awarded the first prize for his mono act, mimicry, and fancy dress at All Kerala Balajana Sakhyama, Kerala State Festival.
As soon as he completed graduation, he went to Mumbai and joined a drama troop ‘Adam Theatres’ and did few plays with a notable director, Anthaappa Pullan. He then worked with Santhosh Travels, few charted accountants and Chemie India, Prabhadevi, Bombay in 1983. He again got a breakthrough when he reached Doha, Qatar as an accountant, but they knew his talent. Therefore, they welcomed him to initiate sociocultural activities along with the office work. There he performed many plays and worked with some of the renowned personalities like
, Bharat Gopi, etc.
The actor performed and directed around 50 dramas in India and Qatar, including Pramani, Thevaram, etc. Soon, he was launched in the entertainment industry by Khai's debut film ‘Chronic Bachelor.’ He performed the leading role in the movie that released in 2003. From then, he is continuously working in the industry and has contributed his artwork in 29 mega serials, 23 movies, and 6 Telefilms. He even won the best actor award at Adoor Bhasi Television Award 2012.
