Plot
Karthik joins the Chepannamthotta station as an SI. Jayasankar is the CI at the same station. Both are hot headed people crossing each other’s path not in the right way. Their relationship takes a further twist when a murder happens at one of the officers’ houses and the other one has to investigate it. What will happen next? Will the investigation be genuine? The rest of the film deals with this.
Star Performance
Asif Ali and Biju had delivered a wonderful performance and Dileesh did what is required of him. The rest of the stars fit well in the roles.
Analysis
The story is simple and the screenplay is penned well. However, the dialogues are not much impressive. The combination scenes of Biju and Asif are well-developed and without adding any over-drama to the sequences, they do justice. Though the lead roles are developed well, the villain’s role needs a bit more development. Though there are repeated sequences from various films, the climax is neat and delivered well. The BGM and visuals are normal, and the editing is up to the mark.

Verdict
Thalavan has strong performances and sequences with interesting twists and turns. Though there are a few negative points, it has an exciting climax that fits the genre. Thalavan- watchable once!
