Sujith Vasudev is one of the most renowned names in the field of cinematography and is known for his works in Malayalam and Tamil movies such as City of God, Molly Aunty Rocks, Papanasam, Amar Akbar Anthony, among many others. Sujith Vasudev was born in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala and is an ardent fan of the works of legends such as M. T. Vasudev Nair, Cherukadu, and Valsala. Vasudev has also publicly stated his desire to work with A. R. Rahman, and is a staunch follower of artists such as Zakir Hussain, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, and M. S. Subbulakshmi.
