Jithu Damodar is a popular cinematographer from the Malayalam cinema. He started his career in the 2012 Malayalam political thriller film, Veendum Kannur, starring Anoop Menon in the lead role. This was followed by Rajeev Nath’s Malayalam drama film, David & Goliath, in the year 2013.

This film was written by Anoop Menon and stars Jayasurya; however, his participation went unnoticed. In the same year, he worked with Anoop Menon for the third time in the Malayalam comedy caper film, Hotel California. Jithu rolled the camera for Anil C. Menon’s London Bridge in 2014.

He is also the man behind the camera for the 2014 romantic musical film, Ormayundo Ee Mukham, the Indian version of Hollywood’s 50 First Dates. Jithu has worked with Director Shibu Gangadharan in the Malayalam film, Rudra Simhasanam in 2015. From this year, he collaborates with M. Mohanan in Suresh Gopi and Sreenivasan-starrer, My God. This film also stars Honey Rose and Manoj Guinness.

Recently, he handled the cinematography of Kannan Thanarakkulam’s film entitled Aadu Puli Aatam and the upcoming Malayalam horror comedy film, Pretham. The latter is set to release this August 2016 and stars Jayasurya directed by Ranjith Sankar. Jithu is also known as Jithu Palghat, and some of his projects under this name include Akale, Gaurisankaram, War & Love, Meerayude Dukhavum Muthuvinte Swapnavum, and a short film entitled Lessons.

Sujith Vasudev

Sujith Vasudev is one of the most renowned names in the field of cinematography and is known for his works in Malayalam and Tamil movies such as City of God, Molly Aunty Rocks, Papanasam, Amar Akbar Anthony, among many others. Sujith Vasudev was born in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala and is an ardent fan of the works of legends such as M. T. Vasudev Nair, Cherukadu, and Valsala. Vasudev has also publicly stated his desire to work with A. R. Rahman, and is a staunch follower of artists such as Zakir Hussain, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, and M. S. Subbulakshmi. Vasudev, in an interview, said that he was inspired by movies such as Shakespeare in Love, The Cow, The Duelist, and “Amelie,” among many others. Vasudev started his career in cinema as a cinematographer in 2009 with the Sunil Madhav-directed “Nayanam,” followed by Sanjeevan’s “Chekavar.” But it was in 2010 that Vasudev got noticed for his works in the Prithviraj and Indrajith starrer “City of God.” The film was written by Babu Janardhanan, and also featured Swetha Menon, Rima Kallingal, and Rajeev Pillai, among many others. In 2012, Vasudev was the cinematographer for the Aneesh Anwar-directed “Mullamottum Munthiricharum,” which also saw actors such as Thilakan, Tini Tom, and Kalasala Babu, among many others. In the same year, Vasudev was the man behind the camera for Ranjith Shankar’s “Molly Aunty Rocks,” which saw Revathy as the protagonist. 2013 saw Vasudev as the cinematographer for the Jayasurya starrer “Punyaalan Agarbathis,” Jeethu Joseph’s “Memories” and the Antony Perumbavoor-directed “Drishyam.” Vasudev was the recipient of critical acclamation for his work in “Drishyam.” In the year 2014, Vasudev worked on projects such as “7th Day” and “Anarkali,” both of which saw Prithviraj as the protagonist. 2015 saw Vasudev as the cinematographer of the Nadirsha directed “Amar Akbar Antony.” Vasudev has also written and directed “James & Alice,” which is slated to release in 2010
