Vineeth Vasudevan

Vineeth Vasudevan, aka Vineeth Chakyar, is a Mollywood actor cum director from Angamaly, Kerala. His father is Vasudevan Chakyar. Vineeth went to S.N.D.P Higher Secondary School, Palissery, and St.Thomas High School Ayroor. He graduated from Union Christian College, Aluva, and the Federal Institute of Science And Technology, Angamaly.

In 2014, he made his first short film, Inverse. Rachana Narayankutty worked with him in this short film. In 2019, his short film received huge acclaim at the Vipra International Short Film Festival. His short film received the Best Film, Best Director, and Best Child Artist awards. Athul, who played in the short film, won the Best Child Artist award. In 2019, he co-scripted the film Allu Ramendran featuring Kunchacko Boban. He was also seen in a small role in Thaneermathan Dinangal in 2019 and Anjaam Paathira in 2020. The same year, he directed another short, Vasheekaranam. It was scripted by Gireesh AD. In 2022, he shared the screen space with Aishwarya Lekshmi in “Archana 31 Not Out.” In 2023, Vineeth directed and performed in the film, “Poovan.” Maniyanpilla Raju, Rinku Ranadheer, Antony Varghese, and Sajin Cherukayil featured in the film. In 2024, Vineeth was seen in Oru Bharatha Sarkar Ulppannam with “Gouri G Kishan,” Shelly Kishore, and Aju Varghese. The film was directed by Nizam Rawther and Ranjith T.V. His next film as an actor is I Am Kathalan, directed by Sajin Cherukayil. “Naslen,” Lijo Mol Jose, and Anishma Anilkumar share the screen space with Vineeth.
