Vimal Pillai

Vimal was born and brought up in Thrissur, Kerala. He has a brother and a sister. Vimal completed his schooling at SDPY High School, Palluruthy, and holds a degree in computer application from Siena College of Professional Studies. He resides in Ernakulam, Kerala. After graduating, he worked in a Multi-National Company. Since his college days, Vimal got interested in cinema and media in general. While working, he parallelly attended auditions for small roles in movies and serials. Vimal had also been working on short films and documentaries. In 2015, he appeared alongside actress Roshni Joy for a music video titled Mantharam. Many producers and directors approached Vimal with potential projects after the music video got immensely widespread.

He played a small role in the 2015 hit film Premam directed by Alphonse Puthran. Vimal appeared in several films such as Orayiram Kinakkalal as a supporting actor. In 2019, he performed as a regular guest on a weekly show called Chumma telecasted on Amrita Television. Apart from movies, Vimal has appeared in advertisements for brands like Joy Alukkas. He has an interest in modeling and has walked the ramp at Lulu Fashion Week in 2018. Vimal also does photo shoots for clothing brands more often. Vimal plays guitar and loves singing too.
