Jacob Verghese

Jacob Verghese is an Indian film director/producer who has worked primarily in the Kannada film industry. Jacob has been involved in popular films such as Prithvi IAS and Chambal. Jacob's previous movie, which was a hit in the theatre, was Prithvi IAS in 2021. Jacob is a national award-winning director of the films Savaari and Prithvi IAS, and has also directed several international documentaries. Since Savaari 2, the 2018 release includes Chambal. He was born in Trivandrum, Kerala, but grew up in Madras, Tamil Nadu. (Madras was renamed from Chennai in 1996 to its original form). Madras Patnam is the name given to the city by the East India Company in 1639. He moved to Union Christian Metrication (UCM) High School from 5th grade to high school.
