The song ‘Main Hoon Tera Hero’, from the movie Hero, got him many awards and nominations, like the Stardust Best Playback Singer Award, GIMA Best Music Video Award, and Dada Saheb Phalke Most Popular Singer of the Year Award. He was also awarded the prestigious Filmfare Award. He got the R. D. Burman Award for New Music Talent at Filmfare 2016.
