He is a student of Qadir Ghulam Mustafa Khan Sahab and Mrs. Rita Kaul, who have been training him for the past ten years. At a very young age, Armaan started his music career by participating in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs. It was a music reality show. He was a finalist and stood eight in the show.

Earlier, the singer was with Universal Music India, but now works under the banner of T-Series for his singles. The singer started singing from a very young age and has sung songs for more than 100 TV commercials. The single also featured the popular music director, Salim Merchant.

Armaan has collaborated with his music director brother, Amaal, for many hit songs. In the movie, Jai Ho (2014), they both did the songs ‘Love You Till The End’, ‘Tumko To Aana Hi Tha’, and ‘Jai Jai Jai Jai Ho’. They both even featured in the beginning part of the song, ‘Love You Till The End’.

They collaborated on other songs like ‘ Naina Naina is an iconic Hindi serial that aired on the >> Read More... ’, from the movie Khoobsurat, and ‘Tumhe Apna Banane Ka’, from the movie Hate Story 3. In the recently released biopic on cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin, ‘Azhar’, the duo gave the song ‘Bol Do Na Zara’, together.

The singer has also been nominated for a number of awards. He won the Best Debutante Global Indian Music Academy (GIMA) Award for the song ‘Auliya’, in the movie ‘Ungli’. The song ‘Main Hoon Tera Hero’, from the movie Hero, got him many awards and nominations, like the Stardust Best Playback Singer Award, GIMA Best Music Video Award, and Dada Saheb Phalke Most Popular Singer of the Year Award. He was also awarded the prestigious Filmfare Award. He got the R. D. Burman Award for New Music Talent at Filmfare 2016.
