Recreate Music The Way It Feels Everyday
Foley is the art to recreate an original audio by adding different effects which can be any day-to-day property. It can also refer to the non-musical sounds that are obvious and integral. The musical Foley may be created by adding various props like broken car parts, combs, water drums, chairs or glasses. The non-musical can simply be the noise a running fan makes, or walking, or the screechy sound that door makes. Foley is basically the production of sound with effects which are close to humans to enhance the audio quality and give the film a more realistic angle.
Without Foley, a movie would sound pale and unrealistic as it would ignore some of the basic sounds that are bound to happen. Foley artists create these sounds using physical props in special studios. The foley artists are well-versed with the screenplay and attend every rehearsal to note down the sequences which need the Foley sounds. After getting the sounds recorded they work with the foley editors to synchronise the sounds with the pictures.
