Thomas Lapierre is an eminent writer, translator, scriptwriter, and film producer from Montreal, Canada. He has a bachelor’s degree in English and History from Trent University. He is a member of the prestigious The Writers Guild of Canada and SARTEC. His first television production came out in 1988. He has produced over 1000 episodes of both animation and live-action. He has taken on different roles in the entertainment industry, including researcher, story editor, consultant, head writer, associate producer, and supervising producer. Two of his works were nominated for the Canadian Prix Gemeaux.
He has worked with the entertainment industries in various countries across the globe including Canada, China, Australia, Colombia, Brazil, England, USA, and Italy. Additionally, he has authored a novel titled The Cloud. Thomas received funding from the Telefilm Canada program twice. The first funding was for an animated feature film in November 2020. The second funding he received was for an animated television series for children called The Rangers in 2022.
