Megumi Hayashibara

Megumi Hayashibara is a member of her own self-founded Woodpark Office and a Japanese voice actress, singer, lyricist, and radio host from Tokyo's Kita ward. She was born on 30th March 1967, in Kita Tokyo, Japan. Since the 1990s, Hayashibara has been one of the most well-known Japanese voice actors. She is best known for her work on Neon Genesis’ ‘Love Hina,’ ‘Evangelion, ‘Mashin Hero Wataru,’ ’ ‘Sabre Marionette J,’ ‘Magical Princess Minky Momo,’ ‘Ranma 12,’ ‘Cowboy Bebop,’ ‘Pokémon,’ ‘Slayers,’ ‘All Purpose Cultural Catgirl Nuku Nuku,’ ‘Video Girl Ai,’ ‘Shaman King,’and ‘ Detective Conan Detective Conan series had often been called as Ca >> Read More... ,’  where she also sings the opening themes for the 2001 series, ‘Soul Salvation,’as well as the 2021 adaptations theme ‘Over Soul and Northern Lights,’ In addition to Musashi/Jessie of Team Rocket in both the Japanese and English versions of the anime, Hayashibara also provided the voices for Pidgeot, Clair’s Dratini and Dragonair, Latios, Latias, Whitney’s Miltank,  and Anabel's Espeon, Ash’s Pidgeotto and May’s Skitty. She also lends her voice to Detective Conan, an ongoing anime series, as Ai Haibara.

Despite rarely doing so, Hayashibara voiced Shuichi Saihara in Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony because of her extensive and rich background in playing detective characters. She has genuinely worked with the team to improve Shuichi's detective skills. Hayashibara began working as a temporary DJ at a nearby ice skating rink while still enrolled in nursing school. She was given her very own radio program, Heartful Station, after becoming more well-known as a voice actress. The show and other anime-related programming were dropped by the broadcasting station after 17 episodes to focus on traditional music. But six months later, Hayashibara launched a brand-new radio program with a different broadcaster. For the Anime V magazine, Hayashibara created several manga with illustrations by Sakura Asagi.
