The director, actor, poet, and writer, Turgay Kanturk, was born in 1961. Being born and brought up in Istanbul, Turkey, he is one of the renowned personalities of the Hollywood film industry. He pursued his graduation from Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory in the Theater and department of acting. During his schooling days, he had a great passion for writing, even he published his few poems in the notable magazine Olusum. Just after his education got completed, he initiated his career with Dormen Theater.
Hisseli Harikalar Kumpanayasi, the TV series, was his debut film in which he worked as an actor. Further, he directed the acclaimed TV movie Otogargara, which was released in 1995. Later on, he worked in the numerous TV series, Sacsasca Basbasa, Hatirla Gonul, Black and White Love, etc. The 1991 published famous book, IIk Gibi Son, was also written by him.
