Justin Kirk

Justin was born in Salem, Oregon, and his family had a mother of Russian Jewish descent and supportive father of Danish and English ancestry.

Justin went to a grade school on a Native American reservation, while he grew in Union, Washington. He knew that from the little age of three,  he had a dream to perform and he literally made his acting debut at age of seven in a local college play. When he was just 12 years old, his family migrated to Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In Minneapolis, he attended his high school. His career took a goal-orientated approach, while he used to perform at Children's Theatre Company. At 1990, he used to play guitar in several New York bands, most prominently, The Dimestore Darlings. Later, at Circle in the Square Theatre School, he  finished his two-year conservatory acting program.

Soon, he was gifted with his first role on Broadway, in the play, called "Any Given Day" at the Longacre Theatre, which led him to quit his service as a bellboy at the Royalton Hotel. This ignited spark towards his passion, is constantly actualizing him to work steadily ever since.

On Broadway, in the film adaptation of “Love! Valour! Compassion!”, he played the role of a blind person called Bobby, which received humongous audience’s praise. For “Distinguished Performance” in the Ensemble, he was awarded, Obie Award.

At New York’s Promenade Theatre, he had his another popular stage work named as "Old Wicked Songs”. He had also won a Back Stage, West Garland Award for his outstanding performance as a piano prodigy at Geffen Playhouse, Los Angeles.

Justin has also co-founded a theatre company, Drama Department, where he appeared in “June Moon”. He has also starred into famous TV-Shows like “Weeds”, “Modern Family”, “ Animal Practice”, ” American Dad!”, “ The Crossroads of History”, “ The Blacklist”, and recently in “APB” as Gideon Reeves (the main role).
