Conrad Bain, also called Conrad Stafford Bain, was a prominent Canadian-American actor. Conrad was born on 4 February 1923 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. He went to the Banff School of Fine Arts. He began his career in acting in 1952. Conrad was appreciated several times for his phenomenal acting.
A reviewer complimented him for his role in The Iceman Cometh by saying "especially well-acted." He is best known for his work in Maude as Dr. Arthur Harmon and Different Strokes as Phillip Drummond. Conrad's other films include The Borgia Stick, Madigan, Star! Last Summer, I Never Sang for My Father, A New Leaf, The Anderson Tapes, A Fan's Notes, Child Bride of Short Creek, etc.
His notable works for television include Naked City, The Defenders, The Trials of O'Brien, Dark Shadows, N.Y.P.D., The Waverly Wonders, Hello, Larry, and many more. In 1945, Conrad Bain was married to Monica Sloan, and they gave birth to two sons and a daughter. An unfortunate incident happened on January 14, 2013, when Conrad died of complications that arose after he had a stroke. We hope Conrad's soul is resting in heaven.
