At the age of seven, they changed his surname to Williams, but years later when Harold discovered that his name was exactly like another actor, he changed it back to his birth name. He attended Shenandoah University for dew years. In 2002, he married Brittany, who is also an actress. The couple has three daughters named Aurora Perrineau, Wynter Aria, and Holiday Grace.
