Chester Bennington is fondly remembered as the lead vocalist of Linkin Park, an American rock band. He was a remarkable figure in the rock scene of the decade 2000-the 2010s. Apart from being the lead vocalist, he was also a songwriter and actor and was the lead vocalist for more bands of a similar genre like Grey Daze, Dead by Sunrise, and Stone Temple Pilots. Born on 20th March 1976 in Arizona, US, he had a tough childhood. His father was a policeman and his mother was a nurse. Later, his parents got divorced, which was very hard on his mental health. Growing up, he was also a victim of sexual abuse. Before his career as an artist, Chester worked at Burger King and multiple other jobs to sustain himself.
Due to all these hardships, he fell back on drugs as a means of relief and coping. He was very vocal about the involvement of drugs in his life, addiction, and unstable mental health. His performances and songwriting reflected angst and other intense emotions. Late Chester Bennington was married to life coach and music producer Samantha Marie Olit from 1996-2005. He married Talinda Bennington in 2005 and had three children together. He was a father to 3 other children from previous relationships. The singer was 41 years old when he died in his apartment. It was a suspected suicide as he was found hanging. This marked the end of this legendary artist's life. His music continues to be remembered.
