Marc Butan

Marc Butan is an American film producer and executive, well known for “ The Host Click to look into! >> Read More... ” and “The Final Cut”. He is a native of Dayton, Ohio. He received his education from Ohio State University, where he became the member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity.

He is the founder of Mad River Pictures: a global film production, finance, and international sales company. He served as co-president of Sierra-Affinity, president of Panorama Media, president of 2929 productions, and also as an Executive Vice President of Productions at Lions Gate Entertainment.

He was responsible for overseeing all creative elements of film development and in-house film production at the studio. He was also, chief media and entertainment investment banker for Kidder, Peabody & Co. and Prudential Financial.
