Jeff Sagansky

Jeff Sagansky was born on January 26, 1952, in Wellesley, Massachusetts, USA. He has been a Director since November of 2017. He is currently the Chairman and CEO of Diamond Platinum Eagle Acquisition Corp., a Nasdaq-listed particular purpose acquisition company (since March 2019) that announced a three-way business combination in December of 2019 with Draft Kings, a U.S.-based digital sports entertainment and gaming company, and S.B. Tech, a global leader in omnichannel sports technology.

He served as a Chairman and CEO from August 2015 to November 2017. Mr. Sagansky was previously the President of Silver Eagle Acquisition Corp. (July 2013-March 2015). This publicly-traded special purpose acquisition company invested in Videocon d2h, an Indian direct-to-home pay-television service provider.

Sagansky has always had a passion for television, despite a successful career that has included stints directing numerous movie studios and a national theatre chain (as well as leading the original U.S. launch of Sony's PlayStation). Sagansky remembers his childhood in Wellesley, Massachusetts, in the 1950s, and how T.V. characters like the Cartwrights from Bonanza "became an essential part of my existence." In high school, he was interested in the entertainment sector. He chose HBS after graduating from Harvard College in 1974 because he couldn't find work in Hollywood.

Target Hospitality Corp., Diamond Eagle Acquisition Corp., Scripps Networks Interactive Inc. (former), Starz Inc., Videocon d2H Limited, and Global Eagle Entertainment are Mr. Sagansky's other public company directorships in the last five years.
