Keisuke Iwata is a Japanese animation producer known for Blue Seed, Shaman King, the flick Pokemon: The Rise of Darkrai, and 7 Days War.

Born in 1955 in Shizuoka prefecture, Japan, Iwata joined TV Tokyo, known as Channel 12 back then, in 1979. Initially, he handled sales, reporting, and organizing but was elevated to the movie club eventually in 1993.

Over time, he was made the deputy director of animation, and produced numerous animation television series like Pocket Monsters, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Love Hina. As a result, Iwata came to be recognized for his contribution to the remarkable growth of animation series in the station.

In 2009, the acclaimed producer became the Chief Executive Officer and President of AT-X. Keisuke’s achievements as an animation producer led to his appointment as the animation advisor of Fantasy Tech ‘Polka Fantasy’, a blockchain game at NFT Market Place. Later, he was elevated to representative director of AT-X.

Keisuke has the credit of producing twenty-six episodes of the Japanese animation television series Blue Seed, which premiered in 1994. The series, which features Matt Greenfield, Wendy Hughes, and Joji Nakata, focuses on Momiji Fujimiya who receives life threats from powerful demons. She escapes the monsters with the help of a powerful boy who acts as her bodyguard. At the same time, she is also aided by a crystal called Blue Seed which helps her to detect the presence of the monsters.

His other notable project is the 2001 animated television series Shaman King, where he worked as an executive producer for sixty-four episodes. The series stars the voices of Oliver Wyman, Andrew Rannells, and Michael Sinterniklaas.

The action-adventure fantasy show tracks the adventures of Shaman, a boy, and his buddy, a samurai warrior. The duo travels the world, getting rid of demons and misled shamans. It turns out that they are the next Shaman King.

Iwata was the associate producer for the animated action-adventure flick Pokemon: The Rise of Darkrai, helmed by Kunihiko Yuyama. The flick centers on Ash and pals who set out for a Pokemon contest. It so transpires that due to the prophecy of Dialga and Palkia, who are Pokemon Gods, the entire place is beset with commotion, compounded by the presence of Darkrai, an evil Pokemon that has supernatural powers.

The renowned animation producer is credited with a slew of other animated television series such as Jungle King Taa-chan, Mojacko, Virtua Fighter, Legend of the Angel of Love, Wedding Peach, and Pokemon, among many others.
