Gary Barber

Born in 1957, Gary Barber is a famous American producer of films. He is a descent of South Africa. He was the CEO and chairman of an American media company named Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. He is also known to be the co-founder of the American film production company named Spyglass Entertainment with Roger Birnbaum in the year 1998. He was born in the largest city of South Africa named Johannesburg. He completed his education at King David School in Johannesburg. He received a degree in the field of Accounting in Johannesburg from the University of the Witwatersrand. He later worked as a CA and Certified Public Accountant with Price Waterhouse, a multinational professional services network in South Africa and the US.

He is a fan of horse racing. He won a trip to the race named Arlington Million race in the year 1982 in Illinois. He went to the States in the same year to live with Cecil Barber, his brother. He is the owner of Thoroughbred racehorse. The Deputy, his horse, which was owned by him along with his partner named Team Valor became famous by winning the Grade I Santa Anita Derby and Grade II Santa Catalina Stakes, 2000 running at a park named Santa Anita Park in California. Becrux, another horse of his, was known to be the winner of Grade I Woodbine at the Canadian race track called Woodbine Racetrack in the year 2006 in Toronto.
