Robert Schenkkan

Robert Schenkkan is an American film actor and screenwriter, popular amongst the audience for his work in movies like Hacksaw Ridge Click to look into! >> Read More... (2016), The Quite American (2002), Star Trek Click to look into! >> Read More... : The Next Generation (1988), and the Pacific (2010). Mostly known for his involvement in Hollywood as a writer, he has won a WGA award and three Primetime Emmy Nominations.

Born on 19th March 1953 in Chapell Hill, North California, the United States as Robert Frederic Schenkkan Jr, he is the only son of Robert Frederic Schnekkan and Jean Gregory. Brought up in Austin, Texas. In 1975, he completed his graduation from the University of Texas, Austin with a B.A. degree in Drama. After that, he got his M.F.A. from Cornell University in Theatre Arts in 1977.

In 1984, Robert married author Mary Anne Doward, and the couple had two children- Sarah Schenkkan and Joshua Schenkkan. Hoping for a successful married life this time, he tied the know with Maria Dahvana Headley in 2004. But things didn’t turn out to be any better this time as well and the coupled divorced in 2012.

During the initial stages of his career, Robert was more of an actor, but as time progressed, he shifted his focus towards writing. Some of the acting credits to his name are Pump Up The Volume (1990), The Image (1990), Out Cold (1989), etc.
