Daniel Wayne Sermon

Born in American Fork, Utah in the USA on June 15. 1984, Daniel Wayne Sermon is a notable musician who became famous as a guitar player of the musical group, Imagine Dragons. He had five siblings. He was even an important member of Jesus Christ Church. Daniel began playing guitar and cello at a very young age. He had a passion for playing musical instruments since childhood days and decided to make a career as a guitarist someday. Sermon's father owned a good record player, an audiophile amplifier, and collection of The Beatles album.

Daniel grew up listening to these songs only. He also used to hear the songs by the musician, Tom Scholz. Daniel is also a huge fan of George Harrison, who influenced his life in one way or the other. He graduated from the Berklee School of Music where he held a degree in guitar performance and composition. He completed college in the year 2008.

Daniel was also a member of The Eclectic Electronics, a band when he was in college. In a club of Utah, Daniel met Dan Reynolds, a member of the ensemble Imagine Dragons. Dan offered him to become his band member and migrate to Las Vegas.

Sermon then approached Ben Mckee and Daniel Platzman to join the ensemble. The group used to perform at restaurants and lounges in Las Vegas and hence gained a lot of experience. It also helped them in polishing their musical abilities. The band also won some local titles including the Las Vegas Newest Must See Live Act and the Best Local Indie Band 2010, Vegas Music Summit Headliner 2010, and Best CD of 2011. The band gained some recognition when they got noticed by the label; Interscope Records and started working with them. Alex Da Kid is the producer of the recording label. Imagine Dragons first released their album in the year 2012 titled ‘'Night Visions.'' It brought them immense success and recognition.

This album ranked number 2 on the international charts including Billboard 200. Songs like ‘'It's Time'', "Radioactive'' and ‘'Demons'' reached the list of the Billboard 100. Night Visions also received a Billboard Music Award under the category of Top Rock Album. The song, Radioactive, received two Grammy nominations and one Grammy award under the category of Best Rock Performance.

The ensemble's second album, Smoke+Mirrors, hit the stores in the year 2015. This album secured the number one position on Billboard 200. Daniel suffers from a chronic sleep disorder and mostly works during the night. He tied the knots with Alexandra Hall, a ballet dancer, in the year 2011. They are the proud parents of two children- River James Sermon and Wolfgang Alexander Sermon.
