Tamra Davis is an American Director. She directed various popular Music Videos, Films as well as TV Series. Tamra was born on 22nd January 1962 in Studio City, California, US. Her grandfather was a comedy writer, and her grandmother was an actress. Due to her upbringing and environment, Tamra got close to the media industry from a young age. Tamra was very keen on watching films in her childhood. She aspired to become an actress when she was a teenager. Tamra dropped out of 11th grade and met with Egyptian producer Ibrahim Moussa. Moussa took him to Italy to teach. After returning to U.S, she took the job of an apprentice in production company American Zoetrope.

She observed his work style keenly. Nevertheless, he advised Tamra to complete the study. Tamra then attended Los Angeles City College. Her innovative direction managed to rake up rave reviews among the critics. After that, she started to direct more music videos. Many contemporary famous artists like Sonic Youth, Beastie Boys, The Smiths, The Lemonheads, and Faith no more and Hanson made Tamra their first choice for directing music videos.

Tamra directed many popular music videos such as Dirty Boots, 100%, Where’s the Love, Shoplifters of the world unite and Anne’s Song. She later produced the acclaimed documentary The Punk Singer that chronicles the life of riottt grrl movement pioneer Kathleen Hannah. Tamra has a cooking show named Tamra Davis Cooking Show. She also wrote a book about cooking, named Make Me Something Good to Eat. Tamra is married to Beastie Boys lead singer Mike D since 1993 and has two offspring, Skyler, and Davis. Tamra is well-known for her work ethic during filming.
