Saoirse Ronan is an Irish- American actress. She was born as Saoirse Una Ronan to Paul Ronan and Monica Ronan. Paul, his father is also an actor. His mother too was a child artist. She was born in The Bronx, New York City in the United States. When Saoirse was three years old her family moved back to County Carlow in Ireland. They shifted again to Howth, County Dublin when she was a teenager.
Saoirse started her career on screen with the prime time medical drama of 2003 'The Clinic' on RTE- Irish public service broadcaster. She played a supporting role in this series. She then appeared in the mini TV series 'Proof'. The Proof was a Danish- Irish production of 2004. Saoirse holds the citizenship of both Ireland and the US - United States.
