Born on January 8, 1980, in Augusta, Maine, Rachel Emily Nichols is an American actress and model. Her father is Jim, a school teacher and her mother is Alison Nichols. She did her schooling from Cony High School. She graduated in economics, psychology, and drama, graduating from Columbia University.
Rachel got married to Scott Stuber, a film producer in 2008 and separated from him after seven months due to irreconcilable differences. While studying at Columbia, she was discovered by a modeling agent and invited her to Paris and steered her career into modeling.
She modeled for various brands such as Abercrombie & Fitch, L'Oréal, and Guess. She used her modeling paychecks to fund her college education and graduated from Columbia in 2003. Nichols made her acting debut in 2000 and did a bit part in the movie Autumn in New York. It followed by a one-episode role in the TV show Sex and the City. In 2003, she had her first major role as a student reporter in the flick Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd. In 2004, she was cast as the member of a debate team of a high school in the film Debating Robert Lee .
She also endeavored into a role in the crime drama television series Line of Fire. She acted for two episodes in this show.
