Maryam D'Abo is an English actress who became famous with James Bond film 'The Living Daylights' (1987) as a popular lead actress. The film was a financial success movie at the box office. In this movie, she played the role of Bond's love interest. Maryam found herself in the acting field at the age of 11. Later she completed acting courses in a British drama school known as 'Drama Centre London' which is a constituent college in the University of Arts London.

She was even engaged in her modeling career while doing her acting course. Mariam made her debut in acting as a supporting actress in a British science fiction horror movie 'X'tro' directed by Harry Bromley Davenport. It was a 1982 film, and Maryam D'Abo portrayed the character of Analise Mercier. Consequently, she appeared in small roles in movies like 'Until September'(a love story), 'Master of The Game' (TV Series), 'White Nights' ( drama film) and 'Arthur the King' (TV series). After playing James Bond girl, she appeared in the cover story of 'Playboy' magazine. Leaving aside her image as a Bond girl, she appeared in TV miniseries 'Something is Out There' that got telecasted on NBC Channel. She played the role of Ta'Ra along with actor Joe Cortese in this TV series.

Clive Donner directed her to another famous role in TV miniseries 'Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less' and the show got aired on NBC Channel. She played a lead role in the series along with actress Jennifer Ann Agutter. In 1992, she acted in a British comedy movie 'Leon the Pig Farmer' directed by Vadim Jean and Gary Sinyor. This film won international critics award at Venice Film Festival. She played supporting roles in the movies like 'The Browning Version (1994) and a cameo in the TV series such as 'Red Shoe Diaries ' and 'Murder She Wrote' etc. In the year 2003, she appeared as s Queen Hecuba in television miniseries titled 'Helen of Troy.' Mariam had small roles in movies like 'Dorian Gray' and an Indian movie ‘Tigers’ directed by DanisTanovic.
