Martina Gedeck

Martina Gedeck is a well known actress best known mainly for her roles in German shows and movies. She is popularly recognized for her roles in films such as ‘Mostly Martha’ in the year 2001, ‘The Baader Meinhof Complex’ in the year 2008, ‘The Lives of Others’ in the year 2006, etc.

She was born on the 14 th of September in the year 1961, in the city of Munich in Bavaria in West Germany. She was born as one amongest three girls and was the eldest. Martina’s family had shifted to Berlin in the year 1971, when she was just 11 years old and had made her debut in a television series for children as a child star.

In the year 1981, Martina had completed her high school education and had joined the Free University of Berlin, where she majored in German Literature and History. Later on she joined the Berlin University of the Arts where she pursued acting from the year 1982 to the year 1986. During her time learning acting, she did a number of plays. She made her debut into theatre with Theater am Turm located at Frankfurt. She made appearances in televisions series such as ‘Goldjunge’ in 1988 and into films with her debut as ‘Nicoletta or Lowe’ in ‘Tiger, Lowe, Panther’ in the year 1989.
