Maisie Williams

Margaret Constance ‘Maisie’ Williams, who ascended the ladder of success with hugely acclaimed fantasy series, ‘Game of Thrones’ as Arya Stark, was born on the 15th of April, 1997 and is currently creating huge ripples in both, the television and film industry. Born in Bristol, the UK to Hilary Pitt, she is the youngest of the pack with three older siblings, James, Beth, and Ted. She studied at Clutton Primary School and then Norton Hill School in Midsomer Norton and later moved to Bath Dance College to train in the Performing Arts.

The character from the comic strip, “The Perishers” is the inspiration for Maisie being called so. She has garnered immense praise for her work as Arya Stark and has gone on to win Entertainment Weekly’s Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama. She has also added a couple more feathers in her metaphorical cap by winning the Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor. She also received her first primetime Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2016. Masie has also repeatedly featured in the popular sci-fi show, Doctor Who as Ashildr in 2015. Not only has she worked on the silver screen,Masieaso have won the coveted London Film Critics’ Circle Award for Young Performer of the Year for her feature film debut in the mystery The Falling. She had starred in short films like The Olympic Ticket Scalper (2012), Up on the Roof (2013) and Corvidae (2014).

She has also appeared in independent films Heatstroke (2012) and Gold (2014). Coming from a broken family, she is presently against the concept of marriage, considering it meaningless and a waste of time as said in a recent interview. She, however, states that falling in love might change her opinions, but she sees no reason to believe otherwise now. She is known for hero penly nature to speak her mind and humor her fans with her quick wit. She also shares a very deep bond with her GoT, co-star and on-screen sister Sophie Turner; so much so that they inked themselves with matching tattoos.

They’re so close that they’ve also given themselves a pair name- “Mophie.” The testimony of this friendship lies in the fact that in the recently conducted Golden Globe Awards, Sophie carried Maisie’s trail down the red carpet. Maisie never intended to take up acting as her primary passion and as she says, will continue dancing. She is currently rumored to be working on the movie adaptation of the hit video game The Last of Us.
