Lizzy Caplan

Lizzy Caplan, whose actual name is Elizabeth Anne Caplan, is a model and actress of American descent. She took birth on June 30, 1982 in Los Angeles, California, United States of America. She was born into a family of Reform Jews. Her mother’s name, Barbara, was a political assistant while her father’s name, Richard Caplan worked as a lawyer. She has two siblings, one sister named Julie and Benjamin, a brother. She is the niece of Howard Bragman, a publicist.

When she turned thirteen, her mother passed away due to an illness. She studied at the Alexander Hamilton High School and was an active member of the institution's music academy and a member of its soccer team. Initially, she wanted to become a piano expert but later switched to acting. She graduated in the year 2000 and decided to devote all her time to studying rather than enrolling for further studies. As a child, she has a very liberal and a progressive upbringing.

In 1991, she bagged her first role in Freaks and Geeks. The writers were extremely impressed with Lizzy portrayal and they decided to turn her into the lead character's girlfriend. She then acted in myriad films and TV shows like Once and Again, Mean Girls, The Life & Times of Tim, Love is the Drug, My Best Friend's Girl, Masters of Sex, Comedy Bang! Bang!, and much more. In 2006, Variety featured her in their list of 10 Actors to Watch.

Lizzy has also appeared in a music video named, You and I Both. Lizzy has also lent her voice to You Don't Know Me, a song from Masters of Sex. Lizzy has dabbled in genres like comedy and drama. She has also voiced the character of Faith Pitt in The Pitts's animated version. Besides mainstream, Lizzy has also worked in independent short movies. In an interview, she confessed that according to her comedy is the hardest category to emote.

She dated fellow actor Matthew Perry Matthew Langford Perry, or popularly known by all >> Read More... for six years, but the couple parted ways. Later, she began dating Tom Riley, whom she met in London while shooting for a film. They dated for a year before getting engaged in 2016. Lizzy married Tom, in September, 2017. She is also the godmother of Busy Philipps and Marc Silverstein's daughter. She has also won several nominations for herself in prestigious awards functions like Saturn, Teen Choice, Critics' Choice Television, Primetime Emmy and Satellite.
