Katie Findlay

Katie Findley is best known for playing the character Maggie Landers in the television series The Carrie Diaries. Katie Findley was born on 28 August 1990 in Windsor, Ontario, but raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. Coming from a mixed ethnicity of Portuguese, Chinese, English, and Scottish, Findley attended Eric Hamber Secondary School. Being a trained ballet dancer for 12 years, the actress has to bid farewell to it due to her serious back injury. She studied at Simon Frazer University, British Columbia, graduating in Art History.

She started looking for roles in films during high school and landed a role for a Canadian Sitcom. But unfortunately, the project was shelved by the channel. In 2010, she made her first screen appearance as a guest in the science-fiction series Fringe and portrayed the role, Emily, in the Television film Tangled. The actress garnered huge appreciation for her acting as Rosie Larsen in the crime drama television series The Killing. Following her success as Rosie Larsen, she was cast in several TV shows, including End Game, Stargate Universe, and Continuum.

Katie made her way to the big screen by appearing in the movies Crash Site: A Family in Danger and After the Dark. The Carrie Diaries in 2013 was a game-changer for Findley as she got to play one of the main leads. In 2014, Katie Findley once again appeared as the main lead in the thriller television series How to Get Away with Murder as Rebecca Sutter. She played the role Molly Callens in the television film Karen Kingsbury’s The Bridge Part 1 and 2. She made her next screen presence in the comedy television series Man Seeking Woman as Lucy and Lost Generation as Cooper, both of which she played the lead role.

Her other significant works in the television include The Magicians, The Twilight Zone, and Nancy Drew. After appearing in films like Premature, The Dark Stranger, and Jem and The Holograms, she starred opposite James Sweeney in 2019 film Straight Up as Rory. The film received highly positive reviews, and her performance in the movie earned much praise for the actress. Apart from acting, Katie Findley likes singing and reading comic books. The actress reveals that she is an animal lover and often seen spending time with her cat.
