Jane Seymour OBE is a British-American actress, who was born on 15th February, 1951 in Hayes, United Kingdom.

She is the daughter of Mieke Frankenberg and John Benjamin Frankenberg, an obstetrician.

She married four times in her lifetime. Her first marriage was to theatre director, Michael Attenborough, but the marriage lasted for only two years. Her second husband was a writer named, Geoffrey Planer. This marriage too was short-lived. They parted ways in 1978. Her third wedding was with David Flynn (1981-1992). In 1993, the actress got married to the famous Hollywood actor-director, James Keach. However, the couple got separated in 2015 after 22 years of union.

Jane has four children- actors Katherine Flynn and Sean Flynn from her third husband David Flynn, and John Stacy Keach and Kristopher Steven Keach from James Keach.

Jane went to the Arts Educational School, Tring, Hertfordshire. She was known for her different eye colors (left eye was green and the right one was brown), as she suffered from heterochromia since birth.

Seymour made her debut in the movie, OH! What a Lovely War in 1969 for which she wasn’t given any credits. In the year 1970, she acted in The Only Way, which was basically a war drama. With the movie James Bond, 1973, Seymour came into the limelight for playing the character of Solitaire.

The Bond girl gave many super hits. In her long career, starting from 1969, she has been a part of blockbusters like, Somewhere In Time, ‘Eden’, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman and James Bond. Seymour has done more than 35 full movies. She also did many TV movies like, The Story of David, Benny and Barney: LA Undercover, Love’s Dark Ride, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Dark Mirror, The Haunting Passion, Keys to Freedom, Angel of Death, Dear Prudence, The Absolute Truth, A Marriage of Convenience, Murder in the Mirror, ‘Blackout’, and A Royal Christmas.

The star has also lent her voice for two animated productions- Quest for Camelot (1998) and The Velveteen Rabbit (2009).

Besides all this, she is also active in American television. Some of the noteworthy TV series in which she acted are, Here Come the Double Deckers, Our Mutual Friend, BBC2 Playhouse, Modern Men, ‘Castle’, and Jane the Virgin. Jane Seymour has received various awards for her impressive work. In 1981, she was honored with the Saturn Award for the movie Somewhere in Time. She was honored with the Golden Globe for the movie East of Eden in 1982, and also for Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman in 1996.

Jane Seymour has written numerous inspirational and self-help books. Two of these are, Two at a Time: Having Twins (2002), and Among Angels (2010). She has also co-authored a few children’s books.
