Jan Hoag

Janet A. Hoag, aka Jan Hoag, is an American actress. She was born on September 19, 1948 in Portland, Oregon. She attended All Saints Grade School and Holy Child Academy. She was passionate about acting at a young age and acted in many plays at the school level. She completed her graduation from Oregon State University College of Business. 

The actress got the job of a Divisional Sales Manager at a fashion store in Orange County.  Because of her obsession with the art of acting, she left her high-paying job to make a living as an actress. She attended the Strasburg Theatre and Film Institute during the day and used to perform in plays at night. She did this for two consecutive years. She started off her career as an actress in the 1990’s. She mostly played minor characters in a multitude of films and TV series. But the roles she played were influential enough to gain recognition and respect. She also made a brief appearance in many TV shows such as Judging Amy, Desperate Housewives, Providence and many more.

She has delivered outstanding performances in movies like The Kid (2000), Raising Flagg (2007), Faster, (2010) and Wild (2014). She also made appearances in famous TV series like “The Big Bang Theory” where she portrayed the role of Lilian. She was last seen playing a small cameo in season one of “Scream Queens”.

Her journey to pursue a career that is art-based and her passion for performing in the theatre is very inspiring.  She comes across as a brave person who left her job to achieve her dream of acting. She has a persevering personality and is one of the finest and successful actresses of American cinema.
