Kika Markham

Kika Markham is a versatile English actress.  She was born in 1940 in Macclesfield, Cheshire, United Kingdom to actor ‘ David Lloyd David Lloyd is an ex-English cricketer who is curr >> Read More... ’ and writer ‘Olive Dehn’. She has three sisters, namely ‘Petra Markham’, ‘Jehane Markham’ and ‘Sonia Markham’. Her sisters are also actresses and ‘Petra Markham’ is also a poet and a  dramatist alongside. Markham tied the knot with actor ‘Corin Redgrave’ in Wandsworth, London in 1985. The couple was blessed with two sons Harvey (born in 1979) and Arden (born in 1983).

Kika and Redgrave appeared concurrently twice on-screen initially in ‘Lynda La Plante’s’ ‘Trial and Retribution’ (in 2000) as a judge and barrister and then in BBC's ‘Waking The Dead’ (Special Relationship Part:1) as lovers suspected of the murder of a government advisor. The lovely couple also starred on stage in the celebrated revival of ‘Noel Coward's A Song at Twilight’, which also featured Corin’s sister ‘Vanessa Redgrave’. Markham’s memoir about her husband titled Our Time of Day - My Life with Corin Redgrave was published in 2014. Corin was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1999, and Kika was by his side throughout his treatment. Corin eventually suffered a heart attack and died on 6 April 2010.

She was also featured in a well-known 1970s British advertisement for the ’Cornetto’ brand of ice cream.
