Jami Gertz

Jami Gertz’s full name is Jami Beth Gertz, and she is an American actress known especially for her role in the movies The Lost Boys, Quicksilver, Less Than Zero, Crossroads and Sixteen Candles. She is also known for her work in the television world which includes some famous television series like Twister, Square Pegs, Still Standing Still Standing is a reality TV game show that airs >> Read More... and much more. Jami was born in Chicago, Illinois. She was born and raised in the suburb of Chicago named Glenview.

Her Father Walter Geertz was a contractor and her mother Sharyn was a builder. Jami went to Maine East High School. Jami also appeared as a child artist alongside Andrew Dice in Different Strokes. Later, she also appeared in The Facts of Life playing the role of one of Blair’s friend. After completing her high school education, Jami went to the New York University for studying acting. There she was discovered by a wide national search of talent conducted by Norman Lear.

After completing her undergraduate studies, Jami made her debut in the film industry in 1981 with the movie, Endless Love Click to look into! >> Read More... . The movie was a romantic-drama movie and Jami’s acting skills were recognised by everyone. After that, she was cast in the TV series Square Pegs. The show was cancelled after its two seasons. After that, Jami appeared in the movie Sixteen Candles in 1984.

In 1987, she appeared in her most successful movie named Less Than Zero. Her performance in the movie got her many movies offer like the role of half Vampire girlfriend in the movie Lost Boys. After working in Paris for some time, Jami returned to the States and landed on some life changing roles in the movies Crossroads and Solarblades.

In 1989, she appeared in the movie Listen to Me and Jersey Girl. She also appeared in an episode of Seinfeld. In 2000, Jami appeared as a guest star in the show Ally McBeal for which she was even nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series.

She was also cast for a long-running TV series named Still Landing, which aired for five consecutive years. She also did a guest role in an episode of a successful TV series, Modern Family. Jami is married to Antony Ressler, and they have three sons. They both are the members of an investment group. Jami currently resides in Beverly Park and also owns a condo in Malibu, California.
