Emiko Ishii

Ekimo Jane Ishii is a British born Japanese dancing choreographer who has acted in various dance genre-related movies. With eleven years of professional experience on platforms like movies, TV commercials, music videos, corporate events, performing on a live stage, and festivals, her most recent known includes the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremonies as Assistant choreographer and creative team for Working Festival.

She has been a dance instructor for nine years, working in the UK and abroad. Her choreography mainly focuses on Bollywood dance style, Jazz, Hip-hop, Belly, Ballroom, and commercial dancing. Apart from dancing Ekimo has done various acting projects, her well-known break was seen in a Samsung TV commercial for the “Samsung Galaxy” mobile phone. She has also featured in many short dance-based movies, working within the Film Production.

Ishii was also a part of post-production, film development, and distributions. Ekimo worked as the Assistant dancer in short films, and Greener Thames Commercial; Director of Photography at the Edinburgh TV Festival; Content Team at the Bling Box; Casting Assistant for Hubbard; and Assistant to Producer at the Red Sparrow Productions. Ishii is the Creative Director and Founder of Epika Dance Troupe, London, UK. She has been running the institute for ten years, where various dance styles are taught and trained to the students.

She also works as a Bollywood Instructor at City Academy, and Bollywood Dance Teacher at Dancebuzzs Ltd, in London, UK. As an actress, Ekimo is known for her movies; “M.A.D. MAD FOR DANCE (2014),” a Bollywood film on Youth desires, dreams, and ambition for dancing; “Girls for Sale (2016),” a British-drama thriller about a wannabe journalist where she played the character of “Yumiko”; and “Someday (2013),” a Bollywood musical drama film where she played the character of “ Amy Click to look into! >> Read More... .” The artist is not only committed to the ceaseless art of dance but also desirous to bring dynamism, culture, and pandemic energy to the table.
