Cheri Oteri

Cherie was named Cheryl Ann Oteri by her father Gaetano Thomas Oteri who was the founder of the company called ‘Of Music’. She has an Italian origin. Growing up with three siblings Tommy Jr., Denise and Brian she was educated in Pennsylvania. She went to Archbishop Predergast High School situated in Derex Hill. When Oteri was 28 years, she shifted to Los Angeles from Upper Derby working for A&M Records for around four years. Later she proceeded to be engaged in a comedy group called The Groundlings. This too put on the gear for a host of Hollywood movies she performed in like Scary Movie, Inspector Gadget, Dumb and Dumberer, Liar Liar, etc. Oteri also made some guest appearances on small screen in Just Shoot Me! Curb Your Enthusiasm and Strangers with Candy. She did voice over for the Fox animation production Sit down, Shut up. Since then, Oteri has been a part of many cartoon comedies. Liza Life Coach was her another contribution in AMC Web Series. Oteri’s father was rumoured to be murdered by his roommate and friend Richard Fagan. 
 

Oteri had been awarded in 2000 GLAD Media Award for appropriately portraying the lives of gays and the lesbians. There are a couple of TV pilots like Loomis, which featured her but was not being aired on television. Oteri has made an immense contribution as a comedian to the world of cinema.  Her simultaneous presence in different genres both in small and big screen along with popular voice-overs received immense praises.
