Born as the daughter of Lutfi Hanafi and Ena Bastari, Angie is a heroine, who is now hitting the screens of Indonesia. She was born on 25th of July ,1983 in Serang, Indonesia. Her 33 years of life has been spent mostly behind the lens as a cameraman. She made her debut in 2004 in her film 'Virgin' which was then followed by 'Hantu Jruk Purut' in 2006, and 'Taman Lawang' in 2013. She then got a chance to star in another film named as 'Lovely Luna', directed by Lasja Fauzia which was not successful as the first one, but she gained valuable experiences. At this point she seemed to have lost interest in her presence behind the screens. Eventually, came back strong and was much appreciated by her audience.

Later, she was nominated for the award ‘Citra Award for Best Leading Actress’. She began her career as a model for the Teen Magazines in 1999. Adding to that, Angie wrote screenplays. The plays she wrote were 'Calling my Name Three Times' and 'Cewe Matrepolis'. Her higher education in film courses was done at York Film Academy in London. She has also starred in a horror film titled as 'Nina', released in 2007. She was initially named Anggia Yulia Angely also known as Anggia Yulia Hannafi, later nicknamed as Angie Virgin after her hit film 'Virgin'. The 'Virgin’ story line is about a teen girl, Katie. She eventually falls into the profession of prostitution to meet the demands of daily life. She shared her life and journey with Habibie Syaaf in 2008 legally.

They were blessed with a pretty baby named Cella. She has casted herself conservatively for a few films and chose her scripts carefully. Her films include 'Virgin' and 'Lovely Luna' in 2004. 'Lovely Luna' portrays the complex feelings between the teens of today. She then moved on to starring in 'Kaffir Lime Ghosts' in 2006 a movie about the ghosts and souls, 'Pellets Kuntilanak' in 2011 which involved dark feelings along with revenge for people, and 'Taman Lawang' in 2013 which is a horror-comedy movie, directed by Aditya Gumay. The 'Kaffir Lime Ghosts' was directed by Koya Pagayo assisted by Indika Entertainment Production. She also wrote a screenplay for the film that was to be released in 2012. She plays the role of different personalities and proves herself to be versatile.
