Celia Diana Savile Imrie is an actress from England, born on 15 July 1952, in Surrey, England. She was the fourth child in her family while she had four other siblings. Her father belonged to Glasgow, Scotland. Imbrue completed her schooling from Guildford High School, after which her higher education took place at the Guildford School of Acting (University of Surrey) where she got professional training in drama. Triumphantly, on 18th October 2013, she was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Winchester. On television, she is highly acclaimed for her work alongside Victoria Wood. Her theatre endeavours were praised in 2005 for her performance in Unsuspecting Susan which was also her debut on stage, and later in 2009, for her work on a play which was based on John Gielgud’s arrest which took place in 1953, titled Plague Over England.

She is mother to a son named Angus whom she had with her partner, Benjamin Whitrow, who is also an actor. Angus has also appeared as her son in reel-life in Kingdom.
