Pierfrancesco Favino

Favino is an Italian actor born in Rome, Italy on 24th August 1969. His career has been vast and versatile. He has done many different roles in films, TV series, and short films. He has around 40 European films in his kitty which includes The Last Kiss by Gabriele Mucchino, The Unknown Woman by Guiseppe Tornatore, Saturn in Opposition by Ferzan Ozpetek, etc. He was the lead in Excellent Cadaver (1999), an HBO film based on Alexander Stille’s novel. He played the part of Christopher Columbus in the film, Night at the Museum (2006). He was awarded David Di Donatello for his portrayal in Romanzo Criminale by Michele Placido. In 2008, he appeared in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian as the leader of the Telmian group, General Glozelle.

Favino played Inspector Ernesto Olivetti in the film based on Dan Brown’s novel, Angels & Demons directed by Ron Howard.
