Jake Cherry

American actor Jake Cherry, originally named “ Jacob Cherry “ was born on 15th September, 1996 in New Jersey, United States. Cherry has two brothers; one of them lives in Andrew Cherry and works as a lacrosse goalie for New York Lizards. Since he started his acting career at an early age, Cherry did his schooling from home and graduated from Old Bridge High School. His passion and commitment towards acting led him to pursue screen acting at Chapman University. When most of us were caught up with homework, playing video games and dressing up our dolls, Cherry had started his acting career and appeared in both television and films. Some of the television shows that Cherry featured were, Blue’s Clues in 2001, in which is when he began his career as an actor), Third Watch (2004), Head Cases The Boondocks in 2005 and Bones (2006).

He also appeared in some famous television shows like House, Desperate Housewives, Criminal Minds and Blue Bloods (2015), which was his recent appearance on television. He has also been a part of many films like Kat Plus One , Miracle Run in 2004, Friends With Money (2006) and Pretty/Handsome (2008), all of which were television films. One of the best films that featured Cherry was “Night at the Museum” in which he played the role of Nick Daley in 2006. This movie is an all time favorite and had a huge response among movie lovers throughout the globe. The movie showcased Cherry’s acting skills in a beautiful way which opened the doors for him into the world of superstars. The success that the movie received led to the making of its second part “Night at the Museum - Battle of the Smithsonian” which also featured Cherry as Nick Daley.

Some of the movies that Cherry featured in were The Rebound (2009), The Sorcerer’s Apprentice 2010), The Son of No One (2011), Transit (2012). His last movie was Hits (2014). Awards are a wonderful way for appreciating, motivating and recognizing people with passion for what they do. The budding actor has been nominated for many awards since his young age. Cherry has been nominated for the “Best Performance in a commercial” for Vlasic Pickles, for the “Best performance in a TV Series” in Desperate Housewives (2008). He had performed wonderfully in both parts of “Night at the Museum” and was rightly nominated for the “Best Performance in a Feature film-Young Actor Age Ten or younger for the movie” for Night at the Museum (2007) and also the “Best performance in a feature film-Supporting Young Actor “for Night at the Museum-Battle of the Smithsonian (2010). With his passion and commitment towards acting it is evident that this 20 year old actor will have a promising future in the film world.
