Eugene Levy is an actor from Canada and is a comedian, producer, director, musician and writer. He is famous for his role of Noah Levenstein in American Pie Series. He is the only actor who has appeared in all the films of American Pie franchise. He has appeared in more than 50 movies out of which seven has grossed to 100 million dollars regarding collection. He was born in Hamilton and was raised as a Jewish. He went to Westdale Secondary School and attended McMaster University. His mother happened to be a housewife, and his father worked at an automobile plant as a foreman. He started his careers with supporting roles with nerdish shades. His humorous style of excessive explanations and the way he acts in sticky situations is what makes people admire him. In most of his movies, he has played supportive roles but in 1968’s ‘Armed and Dangerous’ and 2005’s ‘The Man’, he played the leading role.
In 1990’s, he appeared in National Lampoon’s Vacation followed by Club Paradise and Stay Tuned. He played a substantial role in Multiplicity and critically acclaimed Splash. Levy got married to Deborah Divine in 1977. They have two children from this marriage. They have a daughter and a son named Sarah and Daniel. In 2003, he was awarded Grammy award for best song written. He has won Canadian Comedy Award multiple times. On May 3, 2008, the Governor of Canada presented him with Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards(GGPAA), a lifetime achievement award considered Canada’s “most prestigious awards”. In 2011, he was appointed as the member of the Order of Canada for his contributions as a comic actor and his dedication to charitable causes.
