Stephen Dougray Scott is an actor. He was born on 26th December in the year 1965. His birthplace was Glenrothes in Fife, Scotland in the UK. His parents were Alan Scott and Elma. His father was a sales clerk and actor. His mother was a nurse. Dougray studied in Auchmuty High School. He took admission in a drama course. Then, from 1984 to 1987, he enrolled himself at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. It was in Cardiff. In his college days, he received the title of Most Promising College Student Drama Award. Later, he shifted to London in 1988.
Coming to his acting career, he started his acting from television, national theater, and puppet plays. He had his first appearance in the TV series titled as Soldier.
