Daniel Wyllie was born in 1970. He is also known by the name Dan Wyllie. He is an actor by profession, who has worked on television serials, films, and stage plays. He is originally from Australia. He was born and brought up in North Shore, Sydney. He did his high school from North Sydney Boys High School. He did his further studies in arts from the University of South Wales. At 18, he met with a car accident. His front four teeth were broken.

He was left with a scar on his mouth. To brush his acting skills, he participated in various productions of Australian Theater for Young People (ATYP). He still considers himself untrained. His acting career started in 1990. He is most active in theater. He is long associated with the production company of Sydney, Company B Belvoir. He has featured in the plays like The Pillowman (2003), The Lieutenant of Inishmore for the company. His most famous stage play was Cloudstreet. It was based on a novel of the same name by Tim Winton.

The play was staged on both national and international platforms and was widely appreciated. In 1992, the actor made his first large screen debut in the crime drama flick by Mark Joffe. Daniel played the role of Frank Fletcher in the play. The movie grossed huge profits. In the same year, he featured in two other movies, Romper Stomper (as Cackles) and Drive (as Nick). In 1994, Daniel was part of the movie Muriel’s Wedding, which received many nominations, including an award for Best Actress in the Golden Globe Awards. The actor featured in The Thin Red Line (1998). The movie received many award nominations including a number of Academy nominations. In 2008, the actor featured in the director Michael James Rowland’s movie The Last Confessions of Alexander Pearce as Robert Greenhill. In 2011, he played the role of George in the 3D movie Sanctum. He has also featured in a children’s TV show, Bananas in Pyjamas.

He played B2, the Banana, in the show. In the recent past, the actor was seen in the Australian TV drama series, The Beautiful Lie, in 2015. He played Nick Levin in the sitcom. Wyllie received the Most Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series Award for the drama series Love My Way in 2004.
