Chris Rock

Christopher Julius Rock was born on February 7th in 1965.  He was born in South Carolina.  His career began when his stand-up comedy was noticed by Saturday Night Live Saturday Night Live or popularly called as NBC&#39 >> Read More... in 1990.  He and his class of freshman to Saturday Night Live included, David Spade, Chris Farley Late Chris Farley is an American actor and comedia >> Read More... , Rob Schneider and Adam Sandler Humour is the thing that emphasizes the character >> Read More... .  They would go on to be known as The Bad Boys of SNL.  In 1991, Rock released his first comedic album, Born Suspect.  Also in 1991 he was applauded for his role in New Jack City.  All of this helped Chris garner national fame.  In 1993, Chris Rock left Saturday Night Live and took up a position on the sketch show In Living Color.  This did not last long however as the show was cancelled shortly after.  Around this time, Chris Rock decided his main focus should be comedy as acting jobs were getting hard to come by.  In 1994 Rock starred in his very first special on HBO, Big Ass Jokes.  His next special in 1996, Bring the Pain, would earn Chris two Emmy Awards and establish him as one of the best of the best.  He also added to his fame by being a commentator for Politically Incorrect during the 1996 presidential elections.  After two more HBO specials, Bigger and Blacker and Never Scared, HBO hosted Chris’s very own talk show, The Chris Rock Show.  The show won an Emmy for writing.  Overall, Chris has won 3 Emmy awards for his television work.  It is around this time that Chris gets back into acting, mainly supporting roles.  He starred in films like, Dogma, Beverly Hills Ninja, The Longest Yard, Bad Company Bad company was a talk show that used to come on Z >> Read More... , 2 Days in New York Click to look into! >> Read More... and Grown Ups.  He has also done work for the widely successful animation films, Madagascar.  Chris Rock is also a successful television producer such as in his production of Everybody Hates Chris. Rock is known for how outspoken he is against racism and racial profiling.  He claims he still experiences it even though he is famous.
