Barry Bostwick is an American actor/singer. He was born on February 24, 1945, in San Mateo, California, US. He majored in acting from United States International University. He worked as a circus performer sometime before graduating from NYU's Graduate Acting Program in 1968.
He was a part of The Klowns, a pop group formed in 1970. He ventured into musicals with Salvation. He appeared in Soon in 1971. He played the role of Dany Zuko in Grease which earned him a Tony Award nomination. He went on to star in Rocky Horror Picture Show and won a Tony Award for his performance in The Robber Bridegroom. In 1981, he starred in the TV adaptation of Foul Play. In 1982, he starred in Megaforce. He also appeared in Dads. He played the role of Randall Winston in Spin City from 1996 to 2002.
He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1997 and had his prostate removed. He played a prostate cancer diagnosed patient in Scrubs in 2004. He’s been appearing on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit since 2004. He took the role of Mr. Tyler in What I Like About You in the year 2006. He has been playing the role of Grandpa Clyde Fynn in Phineas and Ferb since 2007. He has hosted Capitol Fourth for eight years. He appeared in Glee’s the Rocky Horror themed episode.
He has been starring opposite Courtney Cox in Cougar Town since 2009. In 2015, he starred in the movie, Hellen Keller vs. Nightwolves. He had a role in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as Collin Winthrop in 2015; the episode was named The End Game. He has also appeared in Charlie's Angels, Hawaii Five-O, The Golden Palace, Grace Under Fire,

He married Stacey Nelkin in 1987, but they got divorced in 1991. He married Sherri Ellen Jensen in 1994. He has two children named: Brian and Chelsea.
