Austin Ku

Austin is an Asian and American screen and stage actor. He was born in Missouri and brought up in Saint Louis. When he was six years old, he started studying violin. In his teens, he dabbled many visual arts. He was a selected member of All-State Orchestra and All-State Choir. In his 11th and 12th, he actively participated in choir team of high school and the drama classes. He was very good in his academics too. He was awarded National Merit Scholar as he stood fourth out of 350 students in his class. He used to go to Rice University at Houston in Texas by early-decision scholarship for his college studies. The university had a strong built-in name in not only academics but also in classical music. He started modeling and acting professionally with various theatres and agencies in Houston. He won many awards for the same. He gave many startling performances in main roles of musicals and also played on regional, Off-Broadway, International tour and Broadway Tour.

He appears in commercials, film roles, television and works as a hand model and print model. His hobbies are playing the violin, other musical instruments, studying the improv, cooking, etc. Though he went to UC Berkeley School of Law and graduated it and also passed off the California Bar, he pursued performance as his career rather than being a lawyer. He was given the scholarship to complete his master in Musical Theater program at Boston Conservatory of Music to improve his background on training in theatres. He performed in several shows in schools, and also gave many performances as a model. He now gives performances in musicals and plays in his country.

He had been a vocal and regular soloist at the military programs in the country. Austin Ku got membership in the principal actor's unions in the US from the union of AFTRA and SAG, which is informally known as SAG-AFTRA. He completed his graduation at Upright Citizens Brigade, which was known as UCB. He is continuing his studies in musical improv. In a comedy and romantic film of Leslye Headland, he is playing a small character opposite Alison Brie and Jason Sudeikis. Known as "Swop," Sleeping with Other People, it premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2015 and various other festivals. The movie played nationwide in 2015. He is at present performing in NYC with USO Show Troupe since 2012, which is known to be the only official show troupe. It's members travel all over the world performing for men services and women services including their veterans, families and audiences who support actively in the troops not only here, but also in abroad. He recently performed in the Day Parade on the float in USO.
