Unfortunately, the Irish lady committed suicide on 28th September 2015. She was found lifeless in her residence at Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, California, USA. There was also a suicide note that was written by her before death.

She stated in the letter that she is not for this world. After spending three days in disbelief that Carrey is not there with her. The brokenhearted lady also added that this time she just did not have the will to compensate for all the mistakes that they were responsible for.

The message had some more heartbreaking things, the artist continued by talking about her burial and funeral, stating that she does not have any idea about such things. Calling Jim her family and ending the letter asking for his forgiveness.

Later upon further investigation, the cops found out that a text sent from Cathriona’s cell to Carrey. In the message, she asked Carrey about the prescription pills and their whereabouts. The “prescription pills” were several bottles of painkillers.

The verdict on her death was given as an overdose of drugs as the pills were found scattered beside her. Later, it was also found that before committing suicide the former couple had some heartbreaking and disturbing texts sent to each other.

She was very close to her family and siblings. In photos with her parents and siblings, she is seen smiling and having fun. She was genuinely a kind soul and a kind human being.
