Nimrod Antal, born on 30th November 1973, is a director, writer, and actor, working in American and Hungarian film industries. He was born in Los Angeles, California. In 1991, he went to study at the Hungarian Film Academy, following the advice of his father. After graduating, he started working in the film industry in Hungary. He returned to California in 2005 and started working in the Hollywood film industry.
He wrote and directed the film Kontroll, released in 2003, which won several awards including Award of the Youth at Cannes film festival, and a prize at Chicago International Film Festival. He was also nominated for best director. His movie, Kontroll, portrays the act of ticket inspectors, who inspect whether a passenger has paid for the ride.
His first American film is Vacancy, featuring Kate and Luke, which was released in the year 2007. His second American film, Armored was released in 2009.
Nimrod directed the film Predators and Metallica 3D Antal appeared as an actor in many films like Andras Solamn’s Kozel, and Balra a nap nyugszik.
